AGC Automotive Replacement Glass has released its new Quality Certificate, guaranteeing that all replacement glazing can be regarded as Original Spare Parts.

The AGC Technovation Centre serving AGC Glass Europe was inaugurated by His Majesty the King of the Belgians, on 5 November in Gosselies (Charleroi region) in the presence of personalities from the worlds of business, politics, academia and the press. The AGC Technovation Centre brings together some 250 researchers, technicians and engineers in brand-new premises focused on improving the glassmaking processes and developing new glass products for the construction and automotive industries.

AGC’s light control glass WONDERLITE™ has been selected for the Magic Sky Control panoramic glass roof available as an option for the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé, which was released on the European and North American markets on September 27, 2014. The Magic Sky Control glass roof equipped with WONDERLITE is the world’s largest light control glass roof for automotive use that changes its color from transparent to dark blue just by pressing a button.

This new building in Louvain-la-Neuve houses 500 employees that were previously spread across six sites. Nearly zero-energy? "This means that our energy balance is almost neutral. Our requirements in terms of heating, mechanical cooling and artificial lighting are limited and the energy used for those 3 items is almost counterbalanced by the electricity generated with the solar panels installed on the roof", explains Emmanuel Hazard, Project Leader for the new headquarters.?"And the icing on the cake is that we emit 90 tons less of CO2 into the atmosphere each year".
