With the rapid development of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and the absence of industry standards, AGC has established its own ADAS compliancy programme for windshields in the aftermarket.
This programme covers the whole production process. The aim is to assure all our customers that AGC aftermarket windshields are as compliant with ADAS applications as the original equipment supplied to car manufacturers.
Critical zones
Firstly, AGC « ADAS » windshields go through a specific quality testing procedure during the development phase. Then, during production the windshields are rigorously checked on critical parameters selected by AGC.
These specifications ensure perfect quality compliance in the windshield areas related to ADAS applications – particularly zones in front of cameras and LIDAR (Light Detecting And Ranging) forward-vision systems.
