NEW PACKAGING FOR SAFER TRANSPORT

Thumbnail

AGC plants in Europe are starting to introduce new standardized packaging for the company’s glass products. The aim is to continue raising quality standards and customer satisfaction, through the reduced risk of breakage during transport and handling.

Why the change?: The variety of AGC’s manufacturing plants and repacking facilities has led to a situation with too many different crates formats and up to 12 different types of materials inside the crates. This will now be reduced to 25 standardized packaging crates. Their design will also be improved and materials will be strengthened, to raise transit safety and reduce the possibility of breakage.
