GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: BUILDING BUSINESS AGAIN

Thumbnail

The Geneva International Motor Show has displayed almost every automobile model produced, ever since steam-powered carriages of the early 1900s. But it is not only one of the world’s greatest auto salons; as Europe’s first major show of the year, Geneva also sets the tone for the rest of the year.

The 86th edition in March 2016 was no exception. Rather than breakthrough technologies and exciting new trends, mainstream car manufacturers displayed solid models aimed at maintaining the sales recovery that started in 2015. After years of misery, producers in Europe are focused on building volume and business again.

AGC was in Geneva, as every year, to meet with customers and partners, this year, more than a quarter of the 81 new models and concept cars on display in Geneva were glazed by AGC. And like auto manufacturers at the show, we also look forward to a healthy and growing European car market in 2016.
