At AGC, we believe in always getting better. This idea of "continuous improvement" is a very important part of how we work. While feedback on the durability of our packaging was already positive, our commitment to excellence inspired us to do even better. our packaging team has made significant improvements to our crates.
We know that crates are essential for our business, from our wholesale customers to our distribution network. They do more than just transport our products; they must also protect them from the risks of logistics, such as damage during handling or transport. To make our packaging better, we decided to simplify our system. We reduced the many different types of crates we used down to just a dozen standard formats. This allows us to maximize our efforts on these specific designs, leading to stronger and more reliable packaging for all of our crates. As a result, our business partners can be confident they will receive all AGC products.
To prove the quality of our new crates, we needed an independent expert to test them. We asked CIMTO, an accredited laboratory (ISO 17025), to perform these tests. They used the ASTM D4169 standard, which is a very difficult challenge for any packaging. This process simulates the toughest conditions a crate might face during shipping, including tests for impacts, vibrations, and movement.
We are proud to announce that our crates successfully passed all these tests in early 2025. This certification gives our customers an extra guarantee that their products will arrive safely, helping their businesses succeed. In addition, this new type of crate is reusable. This lowers our impact on the environment and supports our efforts to be more sustainable. This achievement is now a new best practice at AGC and will serve as a great example for other improvement projects, as we continue on our never-ending journey to be the best for our customers.
