The organisers of one of the Big Three European motor shows, the Frankfurt show, has suffered a blow with the news that at least nine major automotive brands will not attend this year's biannual event. Brands that have opted not to attend the Frankfurt IAA show in September include Peugeot and DS, and three Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) units, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, as well as Nissan.
Scientists have been looking for it for years: the perfect way to repel water from glass. Hydrophobic coatings come near to solving the problem. They cause rain and moisture to bead, and airflow can then clear away the beads. They work best on flat glass that’s not exposed to abrasion (unlike windshields). Land Rover Range Rover and others have hydrophobic front door glass.
AGC Automotive Europe signed the acquisition agreement for Danglas (Denmark) distribution activities at the end of March. The signing in Copenhagen was in the presence of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, who were on an official visit to Denmark marking the close relationship between the two countries.
